Satisfaction Guarantee

Our entire focus is to provide the highest possible level of service that will exceed the expectations of all our clients.

This means that we won’t stop until you’re 100% satisfied.

Support Participants’ Movement

Multi-storey homes can be hard to navigate for people with disability.

Often, supports like elevators and stair lifts are essential for helping NDIS participants live and move more independently.

Some older properties might even need rugged stairlifts – outdoor systems designed for steep stairs and other places where a ramp would be impractical.

We can install and service everything from straight stairlifts to internal elevators, including electrical hoists for participant bedrooms.

Get in touch with us to discuss a single installation or a larger NDIS project.

Automate Everyday Activities

Actions like opening doors, turning on lights, and opening garages can all be difficult for NDIS participants.

Home automation means each one can be accomplished from a smart device like an iPad or phone – but, to set them up, you need an NDIS electrician.

Because NDIS automation is, by definition, necessary, it should have dedicated circuitry and surge protection to protect it as much as possible.

It should also operate as part of an interconnected system like C-Bus, an automation system that’s compatible with other Clipsal products popularly used in accessible homes.

Get in touch with us for a home automation quote you can easily submit to the NDIA.

Add an Upgrade to Your Modification

The NDIS doesn’t cover home modifications that aren’t reasonable and necessary.

But, if a participant has funding for electrical supports, they can pay privately for additional upgrades like better air con and improved lighting.

Bundling those upgrades with the NDIS modifications means they’ll be substantially cheaper – we can quote, install and test both sets of installations at the same time.

If you’re supporting a participant, get them to contact us directly to talk through non-funded home modifications.

FAQS

Questions About NDIS Electrical Work

Will the NDIS pay for an electrician?

Your NDIS funding will normally cover the installation, testing and repair of supports that relate directly to a participant’s impairments. For example, the NDIS might cover the installation of a stair lift (including a new circuit and RCD), but probably wouldn’t cover upgrading old halogen lights to LEDs.

You can read more about what the NDIS covers here.

How much does an NDIS electrician charge?

Most NDIS electricians charge per project, not per hour. That makes it easier for the NDIS local area coordinator or plan manager to compare quotes. You can request a free quote for your project by getting in touch with us .

NDIS electricians who do work off hourly rates tend to charge $80 to $100 per hour, excluding the cost of materials.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes, we hold a $50,000 consumer protection insurance policy and a $20 million public liability policy,  which is above the minimum licence requirements in Queensland. We’re more than happy to provide copies of our policies upon request.

Do you recommend surge protection for essential medical equipment?

If a participant has essential electrical equipment, then it should be protected as much as possible. A surge protection device (SPD) diverts unexpected electrical currents to earth, keeping connected appliances (like life support devices) safe.

If a surge did hit a vulnerable device, it would exceed that device’s electrical capacity, generating excessive heat. That, in turn, would critically damage the device and, potentially, start a fire. Given the potential consequences, it’s almost always a good idea for essential equipment to be protected by an SPD.
